Strengthening the veterinary authorities of the Guinean Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock by developing the poultry sector

Expertise France mandated Phylum to carry out the PEFFAG* mid-term evaluation funded by the AFD - Agence Française de Développement.

Chloé Le Gall-Ladevèze and François Gary were on site from 24 April to 02 May to meet with the various project stakeholders. This project highlights the need to connect the economic development of all poultry sectors with capacity building of the veterinary services.

The reorientation of state services towards their sovereign missions and the development of private veterinarians' network throughout the country is often the most effective way of making animal health services accessible to all livestock farmers, including those in villages, provided that the animal health market develops well for the benefit of this network of private veterinarians.
