One Health workshop in Morocco and Tunisia!
As part of the assignment for the World Bank on the One Health initiative, Phylum organized a workshop in Rabat and Tunis respectively with managers from the Ministries of Health, Agriculture and Livestock and the Environment, as well as other stakeholders, to define priorities for action and the means to develop an action and investment plan to strengthen the One Health approach.
The active involvement of the participants shows the importance of the One Health issues for these countries. A more coordinated approach between the related competent authorities is needed to ensure significant progress in the control of zoonoses such as rabies or the control antimicrobial resistance.
Thanks to Khadidja Id Sidi Yahia, Jaouad Berrada, Habiba Mamlouk, Hichem Bouzghaia for their support in organizing and leading these workshops, and to all attendees of the workshop and to The World Bank.
