The Phylum Team of Calypsovet Meets at the National veterinary Council

On October 17th, 2024, during the 10th Calypsovet steering committee meeting, Hélène Rouch, Pascal Lebret, and Anaïs Redissi visited the National Council of the Order of Veterinarians (CNOV). This meeting provided an opportunity to review positive progress, particularly thanks to the recent launch of the Bluetongue (BTV) and MHE vaccine ordering system, facilitated by an interface between Calypsovet and Serviphar | Groupe Neftys Pharma.

Bluetongue Vaccination Campaign (BTV)

Regarding Bluetongue (BTV), the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty announced the launch of a targeted voluntary vaccination campaign starting Monday, August 12, running through December 31, 2024. A total of 6.4 million vaccine doses will be distributed free of charge to farmers, including 1.1 million doses for sheep and 5.3 million doses for cattle.

EHD Vaccination Strategy

As for Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD), in response to the progression of the disease across the national territory, a vaccination strategy has been established to limit its spread, including the creation of a vaccination buffer zone. The list of municipalities included in this zone has been published in the Official Bulletin. To support this initiative, two million vaccine doses have been ordered and fully funded by the State, ensuring protection for one million cattle in order to stabilize the disease-free area.

About Calypsovet

As a reminder, Calypsovet is a digital platform that enables the dematerialization of exchanges and processes between veterinarians, public authorities, and other stakeholders in animal health. It has been accessible to all veterinarians in France since March 14, 2023, and for over a year has facilitated the management of the avian influenza (HPAI) vaccination campaign by government services.
