PVS Strategic planning in Kazakhstan

The World Organisation for Animal Health with Kazakhstan's CVCS (Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision) organised a workshop to define the strategic plan for veterinary services for the next 5 years.

More than 35 people were involved from Veterinary Services, local executive bodies, other authorities involved in the One Health approach (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Ecology, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior...), key stakeholders (veterinary associations...) and representatives of international agencies (FAO, World Health Organisation).

François Gary, went to Kazakhstan from 20 to 23 November and led this workshop which is a new service provided by WOAH to facilitate decision making and concrete implementation of the recommendations of the PVS assessment and PVS gap analysis. The workshop was funded by the European Union.
